Born one cold November in a crowded Panera cafe, the Corridor Writers group combines quirky individuals with a compulsion to write, write, write! These authors -- and authors they are -- were originally united through participation in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) but elected to continue to meet after the month's push to write 50,000 words.
The group holds no regular meetings. The writers may go several weeks between gatherings while at other times they are present and writing almost daily for a month. Over the years the group has grown in number, with new writers joining. A few have moved away but remain in contact and join in virtual write-ins. The writing venues have also changed, expanding to other cafes and restaurants at the whim of those involved.
The authors have progressed with their craft, finding their strengths, submitting works for publication, accepting both successes and rejections as part of the writing process.
